Recharged

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 6 months since I’ve stepped back from my practice to take some time for myself to recharge and focus on my own wellness journey. I’m so grateful I was able to take the leap to give myself the space and time to reflect and focus on my health and how I can better serve those in need.

I started off the break spending 6 weeks in beautiful Nelson, BC where I spent most of my time in nature exploring and hiking the Kootenays. I bought a hiking guide and most days would wake up, open the pages then drive to a destination to explore. It was great to have the flexibility to choose my own adventure and spend lots of quiet time in the woods. The views were spectacular and my favourite was hiking in the alpine after the first snow.

Upon my return to Vancouver, it was clear that what I craved most was to slow things down and finally say goodbye to the busy city life. I moved out of the city to the suburbs to slow down and spend more time in nature. It’s been an easy transition for me, I was ready to say ‘good bye for now’ to Vancouver after 9 years.  Now that I’ve settled into my new surroundings I am ready to return to practice to start to help others with their own health and wellness journeys.

I am excited to announce I will be returning to practice and joining the amazing team at Cheam Wellness Group in Abbotsford. Cheam Wellness Group is an integrative clinic with Midwives, Counselors, RMTs, and Naturopathic Doctors and I’m looking forward to working in an environment that is focused on delivering amazing and effective patient care. I have found a work home to better serve patients and really focus on delivering the best possible care to my patients.

I am also going to be creating content – blogs to start and eventually an online program – focused on health and wellness. I’m an avid and passionate reader and want to share and distill information in an easy to digest format so people can take away actionable ideas to improve their own lifestyle. It’s clear there is a lot of information out there on how to better ourselves but it can be overwhelming where to start. I want to take what I’ve learned and tried on myself in improving my own health to hopefully inspire others to do the same.
