Naturopathic Modalities

When prescribing botanical medicine we can safely choose various herbs to help restore health and function in your body. Each plant brings about its own unique function in the body. Through historical use and current research, we individually select different herbal formulations specific to your health needs.

Clinical Nutrition

Individualized healthy eating plans are prescribed based on your current health needs and lifestyle. We tailor your diet to ensure proper absorption and nutrient utilization, while creating a sustainable eating program for you to follow. Different healthy eating programs are created for various life stages and goals including growing children, active athletes, adult maintenance and therapeutic diets for various health conditions.

Biotherapeutic Drainage

Biotherapeutic drainage is a method of using different substances to enhance your body’s own detoxification systems. When toxins accumulate in our bodies it leaves us feeling sick and tired, and can predispose us to other inflammatory conditions. Biotherapeutic drainage is used alongside other modalities to help reduce your toxic exposures while increasing your detoxification capacity, leaving you feeling more energized.

Pharmaceutical Prescriptions

Dr. Coolsaet is licensed to prescribe pharmaceuticals in the province of British Columbia. Pharmaceutical medicines are used selectively when it is the best option for that individual patient.

Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

BHRT is an effective therapy using hormone replacements that are the same as the hormones our bodies produce. We prescribe these when we do not produce enough hormones on our own. When used appropriately they can dramatically increase one’s quality of life.

Therapeutic Ultrasound Therapy

Dr. Coolsaet is pleased to offer therapeutic ultrasound treatments for injury recovery and pain management. Therapeutic ultrasound increases blood circulation to the affected area, increasing nutrient delivery to promote proper healing of injured tissues.
